The sporty Corsair 24 Mk II is a compact, easily trailerable, folding trimaran that is ideally suited to one-design or handicap racing, daysailing and overnight camper-style cruising. It is a light-weight sport boat that is exceptionally fast, responsive and safe to sail. Performance is lively and nimble, and accommodations are remarkably spacious and comfortable for a 24-footer. In 1996 the Corsair 24 Mk II won Sailing World's "Boat of the Year" award in the performance multihull category. Bob Gleason easily won the open class event in the 1995 Nationals when the MKII was first introduced. In 1996 he won again in a fleet of (13) 24s.
