Design

For sailors who aspire to build a custom multihull, nearly all will have had some direct experience with a boat whose design either motivates or turns them off. Clients will generally come to us with a pretty good idea of what they are looking for. We contact the designer(s) whose boats best fit your requirements. We review their study plans in detail to evaluate the following:

1. Suitability of the their designs for your purposes

2. Construction costs and hurdles based on the design

3. Resale points, such as designer recognition, boat features, and price

4. Willingness to start totally from scratch for a very specific customer design requests.
