Corsair
Versatile folding trimarans for cruising, racing and family sailing. Our team owns and races Corsairs, bringing practical experience to every conversation.
A folding-trimaran heritage
Corsair was founded in California in 1984 to build Ian Farrier’s F-27. Its folding system helped make a sailing trimaran practical to trailer and berth. Production moved to Vietnam in 2006, and Corsair joined the Seawind group in 2010.
The Multihull Source brings firsthand Corsair sailing and racing experience to conversations about new boats and the used fleet.
Choose your Corsair
Corsair 760
A compact performance cruiser with a galley and pop-top for additional headroom. It is designed for couples’ weekend sailing, with accommodation for up to four in the appropriate configuration.
Corsair 880 & 880 Sport
The 8.8-metre model combines folding convenience with a cruising interior, galley and enclosed head. Standard and Sport versions offer different rig options. Published folded beam is 2.5 m.
Corsair 970
The 970 develops the C31 concept with more interior space, standing headroom and a larger galley. It offers cruising accommodation in a folding trimaran, with Sport options for sailors seeking more performance.
Sail farther from your usual launch ramp
Corsair’s folding floats reduce the boat’s width for transport and marina use. The builder’s system allows folding afloat, and the wingnets remain attached. Trailerability opens up different cruising areas and regattas without a long delivery passage.
Road transport arrangements, towing capacity and equipment vary by model and vehicle. Our team can help you review the requirements for the boat you choose.
