The popular Telstar 28 swing-wing folding trimarans offer a nice alternative to the Corsair folding trimarans. The boat folds from 16ft beam to 8.5ft for road transport.

This boat, Hull #62 is a well-maintained version and was later in the production run at Gemini. It also has a brand new (2026) aluminum US Spars mast, new standing rigging and new mainsail and genoa. This boat is ready to go sailing right now!

HULL

The Telstar main hull, floats and deck are fiberglass using resin infusion on a corecell core with Kevlar reinforcement in load areas. There were around 90 of the Telstar 28s built by Gemini Catamarans in Md, and as this hull was later in the production run benefitted from production upgrades and finishing. Gemini built over 800 boats of varying lengths for near 30 years.

There was a survey done on the boat in early 2025 which could be made available to a potential buyer.

CABIN

The Telstar features an open main cabin with enclosed head forward. The interior is teak stripped, which was refinished in 2025 and seatback cushions are light green and in very good condition. The salon table can seat 6 comfortably. Two single settees port and starboard can convert to double and single berths.

There is a full galley with a 2-burner broiler propane stove, galley sink and good storage. A 70-quart cooler is onboard for cold storage, and stows nicely belowdecks.

The enclosed head has a new Jabsco marine head and all new hoses (2025). This includes a Shurflo macerator and Y-valve, and was replumbed to allow overboard pumping while at sea, or emptying the holding tank in port.
