The Multihull Source was formed in 1995 when Bob Gleason teamed up with Bert Kornyei to expand his Corsair dealership into other multihulls. Bert had recently bought his first Corsair from Bob and was excited to start this new venture. 
Bob and Ira are experienced multihull racers and cruisers; they organize and participate in numerous sailing events throughout the year. Because of their passion and vast knowledge, The Multihull Source is one of the strongest, full-service, multihull-only dealerships in the world.

The Multihull Source has been serving up exciting sailing for nearly 30 years. The company has evolved along with the designs and technology of the multihull sailing world. Bob and Ira are dealers for not only the latest and most important boat lines in the industry, but the experience to help sailors get exactly the right boat for them.

At Seawind catamarans we are regularly asked “Convince me why I should buy a catamaran instead of a monohull”. Like everything, there are pluses and there are minuses and we try to give the person a balanced answer. Of course the pluses and minuses are more or less compelling for different people depending on their circumstances and their sailing ambitions. However, a growing number of people are coming down heavily one side and becoming firm catamaran converts. 

Corsair Trimarans are versatile, exciting and offer superb performance for racing and cruising with the family. They also feature unique trailerability (trailer to sailing in 30 minutes), shallow draft and uncompromised comfort and safety. All of The Multihull Source team members own and race Corsair trimarans - no other dealer can offer more knowledge about all the different models.

Trimarans are fun because they enable you to discover places that others cannot venture to. The draft of the Rapido 60 is only 0.75m when the rudder blade and dagger board are retracted, which facilitates shallow water navigation and anchorage. Comfortable nets 6.3m x 3m on both sides of the Rapido 60 provide an enormous space to play or lounge when the fish are not biting. 

The WETA trimaran is a great performing 4.4 m or 14'5" triamaran. Only a WETA can be sailed with one, two or three sails blazing by one, two or three people!

No wonder it was Boat of the Year in 2010!

Composite foam sandwich hulls with Carbon spars and beams make this little trimaran as robust as it is versatile. A trimarans legendary forgiving nature means that anyone can jump on the Weta and immediately feel confident.

Aquidneck Mooring Company (AMC) services over 1,000 moorings throughout Narragansett Bay including Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, Jamestown, Bristol, Tiverton, Little Compton and more. We have the solution to your mooring problems and needs. Our number one priority is making sure your mooring is safe. 

When AMC services your mooring, it is checked, measured and recorded on a regular basis. As a family run business, since 1995, AMC has built a distinguished reputation for honesty and customer satisfaction. We offer traditional Mushroom anchors, Ferro-cement block systems and newer technologies such as Helix Embedment Anchors and the Hazelett Elastic Conservation Mooring System. AMC also offers custom designed and in-house manufactured mooring pennants and other products.

For larger power and sail vessels, we work with one of the premier yacht brokerages in the country, Swiftsure Yachts of Seattle, WA.  

For local and regional listings, we maintain a network of relationships and contacts of interested buyers. Our minimum fee to list a boat is $1,500 or 10%, whichever is greater.  

As a buyer's broker we work hard to locate the ideal boat for a customer's needs. We have assisted clients in purchasing yachts from all corners of the continent, including Puerto Vallarta, Vancouver, Ft. Lauderdale, Newport, RI, Annapolis, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and many points in between. We have the experience to negotiate a fair deal, and to arrange for survey, delivery and commissioning. A buyer should seriously consider having an expert on their side of the deal.  As in real estate, the seller pays the commission. 


We offer a complete line of custom racing and cruising sails from Ballard Sails, including custom carbon membrane sails for Grand Prix programs.    We will measure your boat and offer suggestions to provide the most value for your sail investment.

Capt. Pete Sauer

In 1999, Captain Pete Sauer assumed ownership of the company then expanded the scope to include yacht delivery and brokerage of larger yachts. Today Big Sky Yachts specializes in providing exceptional service to yacht buyers, both sail and power, in the greater northwest. Pete holds a 100 ton master certificate with the US Coast Guard and has completed deliveries to and from Mexico, Alaska, Caribbean, US East and West Coasts, and across the Atlantic. 
Pete and Amy own and sail the Ocean Flyer 55 "Big Sky", a custom aluminum long distance cruiser built in New Zealand.
